The due date is the date you sign each month and the receipt shows you, not like some places where you move in one date and by the first you have another bill. The drive up entrance for inside storage is by far my best storage experience, so no getting wet when moving items, numerous carts available. There is also a drive thru entrance which I haven't used, but it might be great for you, and it is a different price, but the convenience is easier for some people. Also the maintenance personnel keeps the place clean. Would recommend here to anyone looking to store something for a short period or a long time, just follow the rules. I’m finishing up my move out of C158, which has been my unit since March 2011. I’m really sad about giving it up, even though I know it’s been a drain on my finances. I can’t say enough nice things about this group.Ginny used to work there, starting about the time I moved in. She was always so pleasant. Now Colin is managing and he couldn’t be kinder. I also recently met Brittney, who was a doll. The district manager, Travis, is also very kind. I’m hoping to return and get a smaller unit in a few months, once I’ve caught up on bills. The location is perfect. I especially love seeing the seagulls fly around outside. It’s quiet, clean and well-managed. Just please be kind to my old unit.I will miss it. We tend to go with convince at times, especially when dealing with alot. It's like a hidden gem, looks small on the outside, but definitely huge on the inside. We are in the process of moving and I was in a bind due to a container company dropping off a beat up oil soaked floor unit that i was not putting my furniture in so i had them come and remove it. So i was looking for a storage unit in the city we were moving to and we were all set to start loading up and got a phone call in the morning that the unit i was going to tent wasn’t available because the former tenant left it packed and never picked up their items. I called around and to no avail Metro was right down the street. So i calked and the woman Jessica i talked to was very professional and helped me out getting a unit reserved and said Colin from the location will be calling me in the morning. Colin called me in the morning and asked me if i was still interested which of course i was. I met with him at 4pm and he showed me the unit. He wad very informative and professional and helped me out big time. I can say going forward if ever in need of a storage unit i will be going back to Metro Storage in West Haven. Thanks Colin

My journey with Metro Self Storage began a few years ago when I started looking for an affordable, clean, and convenient storage facility in CT. I made several visits to nearby facilities in the area and was immediately impressed by Metro Self Storage because I was able to drive in and park my vehicle inside of the building instead of the usual outdoor parking lots which most storage facilities provide. I found the layout of the building to be amazing with very easy access to my storage spaces. I made a checklist of all the things which were extremely important to me such as cleanness, pest control, frequency of rent increases on storage units, security; feeling safe while inside of the building especially when the office was closed; and how helpful the staff would be to me in answering my questions honestly, including resolving any issues that may occur. To my surprise all of the criteria was met. This made me feel confident that Metro Self Storage would be the ideal facility to use. This was reinforced by the excellent staff who served me and the services they provided. I have always been greeted with friendly faces eager to assist me if needed. Colin is one if the employee's I genuinely cherish. He has made me feel as a customer, I am a part of the Metro Self Storage family. I trust him immensely because he is knowledgeable, patient, accommodating, courteous, and a consummate professional! There are times I have bombarded him with numerous questions and I have never detected an impatient or disrespectful tone of voice from him even if he is busy. I rely upon his expertise and his willingness to provide me with as much details as possible when requested. Colin has assisted me many times in renting more than one storage space. I am speaking from previous experience when I suggest to any future customers this is the perfect storage facility to use for all of the reasons I just mentioned above, in addition to interacting with an exceptionally kind staff! Both of the times I have rented a unit from this company in the past 2 years have been successful. The prices are comparable to others in the area but the difference in what you get for that price is what makes all the difference. First, genuine employees, such as one employee named Colin who I had the pleasure of meeting, provided me with all the information I could ever need for the unit rental. The units are clean and easy to access. Not only are they easy to access, but more importantly - secure and safe. You have to enter a security code at 2 gates in order to access the indoor, climate controlled space which has 2 floors of units. The ability to park vehicles up to 15 feet in length indoors while loading and unloading make moving a breeze in any weather. Lastly, the location is to get to, easy on and off access from I-95 in less than a minute. I highly recommend using this company for your storage unit rental needs!

It is always very clean, climate controlled and more reasonable than some of the other storages in the area.The staff has always been friendly and courteous.I would highly recommend the storage if you’re looking for a place to store.
